Plain English, and an accurate description of what this site actually does.

If you're looking for a business

You can search and browse without an account, and we don't track you personally. We record what was searched for — the trade, the parish, the search words — so we know which services Bermuda is looking for. We do not record who searched: no cookies for tracking, no IP addresses, no advertising profiles.

If you post a job through “Request a quote”, we keep what you type: the trade, parish, description, your name and the phone number or email you give. That information is shown to businesses in that trade and parish. A business sees the job description immediately, but only sees your name and contact details if it pays to unlock the job. At most four businesses can do that, so you should not be flooded with calls.

If you run a business listed here

Most listings were compiled from public sources and each one links to where its information came from. We publish only business contact details that were already public. You can claim your listing, correct it, or have it removed at any time, free, without an account.

If you create an account we store your email address and a securely hashed password — never the password itself. If you unlock a customer's job we record which job, when, and what it cost, because that is what we invoice against.

What we use

The site runs on Vercel and stores data in a Neon database. We use Vercel Web Analytics for visitor counts, which is cookieless and does not identify individuals — which is why this site has no cookie banner. When lead notification emails are switched on they will be sent through an email provider, who will process the recipient's address to deliver them.

Your rights

Bermuda's Personal Information Protection Act gives you rights over personal information about you, including asking what we hold and asking us to correct or delete it. To exercise any of them, use the listing request form — it reaches us directly and doesn't need an account. We aim to respond within two business days.

Changes

If what we do with information changes, this page changes with it. It describes the site as it works today.
