Who can list as an independent carer

You work for families directly, not through an agency.
You have the right to work in Bermuda without a work permit: Bermudian status, PRC, or spouse of a Bermudian. A work permit ties you to the employer named on it, so permit holders list through their agency or employer.
You are on the Bermuda Health Council's caregiver register, or will register before you list. It is the one element that stays required for as long as you are listed.
You can show a Bermuda Police Service criminal record check issued in the last 12 months, and give two references, one of them a family you have worked for in the last year.
